✅ New Labour Codes in India: Full List of 29 Old Laws Merged Into 4 New Codes
The Government of India has simplified labour regulations by merging 29 separate labour laws into 4 modern Labour Codes. This reform aims to make compliance easier, reduce complexity, and improve protections for workers.

- Payment of Wages Act, 1936
- Minimum Wages Act, 1948
- Payment of Bonus Act, 1965
- Equal Remuneration Act, 1976
Purpose: To create a uniform and simple wage structure across India.

- Trade Unions Act, 1926
- Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946
- Industrial Disputes Act, 1947
Purpose: To simplify industrial relations — hiring, firing, dispute resolution and trade union regulation.
